Update: on November 11th, 2013 D.O.L. moved a couple of doors down the street to a bigger space that combines the shop with a tavola calda and has longer opening hours. We’ll update the details accordingly as soon as we try it out. The address below reflects the change.

D.O.L. (Di Origine Laziale) is a food shop specializing in the products of Lazio. Look for prosciutto cured in wine, local oils, Onano lentils and olives from Gaeta, among other delicacies. The shop’s founding legend is deeply intertwined with saving the Conciato di San Vittore cheese (from raw milk, featuring the flowery aromas of the pastures of Lazio) from extinction, so don’t miss it!

Ambiance: Floor to ceiling salumi and cheese goodness.
Budget: Moderate to expensive.
Value: Good.
Recommended goods: Raw milk cheeses, Pastificio Secondi’s fresh pasta, Conciato di San Vittore, Mangalitsa pork cured in Lazio.
Open: Mon-Sat 9:00-13:00 & 16:00-20:00. Closed August 10 – 18.
