Forno Colapicchioni is a long-established bakery in the Prati neighborhood, not far from Castel Sant’Angelo and the Vatican. There are two locations, one on Via Tacito (76-78) and another on Via Properzio. The former is both a bakery and a deli, selling all sorts of provisions in addition to their famous baked specialties. The latter location (a few storefronts away from Sorpasso) gets packed out at lunchtime with locals who clamor for a quick and economical mid-day bite like pizza al taglio (pizza by the slice) or pizza con prosciutto e mozzarella (prosciutto and mozzarella sandwich).
