The annual summer event Le Feste del Vino della Tuscia will be held every weekend through August 18. Each weekend, a different town in the Tuscia region of Lazio will host wine and food events. For more details visit the event website.
From August 3-18, Montefiascone will host the 55th annual Fiera del Vino. Various wines will be presented, including the famous Est! Est!! Est!!! Guests can enjoy local products in the town’s main square. The free event begins at 10:00 on August 3. For more information check out the event page.
Through August 4, the city of Tarquinia will host Divino Etrusco, an event dedicated to the culture and wine of the Etruscan people. You’ll be able to sample local white and red wines of the region in the city center.
Also until August 4, craft beer lovers should head down to the the seaside town of Terracina for In Birra, an event dedicated to the methods and flavors of craft beer. The event takes place all weekend and entrance is free. Visit the Facebook page for more info.
August 2-3, Montebuono in the province of Rieti will host Cantine Aperte, two evenings dedicated to the flavors and culture of the region. Various cantine will have their wines available for sampling and brewers Altaquota di Cittàreale and Birra del Borgo will offer seven different craft beers paired with local cheeses from Antica Fattoria Sabina. On August 8, Andrea Puddinu of Il Gelato Bistrò and Attilio Servi of Pasticceria Roma will pair up to host “Limoniamo”, a lemon panettone tasting paired with gelato. The event will take place at Il Gelato Bistrò and will start at 18:00. For more details visit the Facebook event page.
